Registration Requirements for the 2012-13 School Year

*Registration documents can be accepted beginning February 1, 2012*

All students interested in attending Vimy Ridge Academy must first contact their program of choice to begin the registration process (i.e. Hockey Program, Outdoor Pursuits, Elite Athlete, etc.). Registrants must provide a current progress report, student registration form, applicable option/course selection form and honours application form if desired (all documents available below). Registrants must also provide a copy of their birth certificate. Registrants within Edmonton Public Schools District must provide their EPS passport when they receive it before their application can be finalized.

Registration Process

To apply for the Hockey Program, Lacrosse Program or Sport Recreation Program, you must first sign up for an AAD Online Account by clicking HERE .  After you have completed your online registration, you must fill out the school forms, which are listed below.

To apply for the Green and Gold Soccer Program, please follow this link and select "Apply Now" for the documents you require.

To apply for The Outdoor Education (T.O.P.P.) Program, Dance Program or Elite Athlete Program, please select from the documents posted below:

Junior High Honours Program

To enter and/or remain in the Honours program, students must meet the following criteria to be part of the program:
1. Students must maintain an 80% average with no mark lower than 75% in core courses.
2. Assignments and homework must be completed by the due dates for all subject areas.
3. Students need to be prepared to put forth their best effort, be engaged in class room activities and hand in high quality work for all assignments.
4. Students are required to maintain their agenda with homework and upcoming assignments.
5. Student must be prepared to behave in a manner that exemplifies respect to themselves, teachers and classmates.
6. If students are accepted into the Honours Program and do not maintain the above criteria, they risk being removed from the Honours Program and placed in a regular class at the end of a reporting period.
7. Students will be selected for the honours class based on a combination of all criteria. Honours marks DO NOT guarantee entry into the honours class.

To arrange a school visit tour or a shadow day contact your program of choice contact. This will give both you and your child an opportunity to see our school, meet some of the staff, and get a feel for the programming options we provide. Students who want to attend Vimy Ridge Academy(VRA) must meet standard educational prerequisites for entrance into junior and senior high (Grades 7 - 12).
