Options

We offer a variety of optional courses to support our students' growth and interests.
Each year, the actual course offerings depend on student course requests and teacher availability.

2024 2025 Option Course Descriptions

Junior High Optional Courses
C.T.F. (Career and Technology Foundations) programming allows students to explore their interests and passions as they learn about various career possibilities and occupational areas.  C.T.F. courses for junior high students include:

  • Art
  • Construction
  • Digital Photography
  • Drama
  • Foods
  • Information Processing - Grade 7 is mandatory.
  • Leadership - Grade 9 is mandatory. The curriculum is based on the YPI Social Service Programming
  • Music (Guitar)

High School
C.T.S. (Career and Technology Studies) programming teaches high school students practical skills and provides insight into a variety of career pathways. Furthermore, these courses give students an advantage in a wide variety of technical programs after high school.  CTS courses include:

  • Construction
  • Digital Photography
  • Foods
  • Graphic Design
  • Leadership


Department Supplies

All students are expected to have a binder, loose leaf paper, pencils, pens and highlighters.  Course specific outlines will be given out at the beginning of each course which will include any required supplies that are not general school supplies.
