Okanagan Hockey Academy

OHA Edmonton, in partnership with Vimy Ridge & Academic and Athletic Development, offers student-athletes the opportunity to take part in daily, purposeful, on-ice training at the Royal Glenora Club, Edmonton. Their 10-month, ‘Team-Based’ program offers structured practices & dryland, which are designed with individual skill development in mind, through team tactical and technical teaching/coaching. Their philosophy is to provide our student-athletes with the physical, mental and emotional skills needed to execute and perform at the highest level possible. Teaching is a big part of their daily activities, from techniques to hockey IQ, which gives our student-athletes not only a physical advantage but also allows them to understand the Team game and how to be successful within it. Their coaches are experts by experience having played the game at the NHL, Junior, University, National, and Olympic levels. Their knowledge of what it takes and their understanding of the player’s perspective make OHA a unique program. Their Teams play within the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL) which stretches across Western Canada. With all of our students/players required to attend school at Vimy Ridge Academy, they are guaranteed to receive the first class, educational support, required to become a successful Student-Athlete.

OHA Edmonton currently has 3 teams within their program:

Midget Prep (AAA – Grade 10-12)
Midget Elite 15 (AAA – Grade 10)
Bantam Prep (AAA – Grade 8-9)
